From Rags to Sniffers
AUSTIN, TX - Preferring the au naturel route, CSAM's Gus Gecko rarely wears clothing. In fact, he has never worn a t-shirt or a pair of knickers in his life. However, time has not been kind to Gus Gecko's once silky complexion. Ailments such as pilling and spaghetti sauce began to cause Gus much grief and often resulted in him being mistaken for an ordinary dishrag. After seeing his favorite Hollywood celebrities such as Britney Spears and Tara Reid cover up their imperfections and surgical scars with clothing, Gus decided to make the plunge as well.
Insecure about never having purchased clothing before, Gus opted for the anonymity of the Internet and bought a shirt online.
Approximately one week later, Gus received multiple charges made out to Ultra Bone Inc., a manufacturer of bone strengthening tablets. Suspicious of these charges since his body contains zero bones, Gus contacted Mr. X, CSAM's Internet Search Master, for answers.
Upon review of his credit card statement, Mr. X concluded that Gus' credit card information had been intercepted, or sniffed, due to the clothing Web site's lack of encryption. According to Mr. X, if you are submitting personal information to a Web site, check your browser window for a lock icon, which indicates encryption.
When contacted for additional comments, Gus responded by shaking uncontrollably from either anger or disease.
