Fully managed MySQL is recommended for departments, colleges, or other groups that require MySQL service but who do not have the appropriate hardware, software, or staff resources to run it themselves.
- Self-Managed with Commercial Support
In the self-managed infrastructure with commercial support, the customer purchases access to the campus-wide MySQL Enterprise Platinum support agreement. This allows the customer to interact directly with the MySQL support staff at MySQL AB for all support requests.
The Self-Managed MySQL with Commercial Support is recommended for departments that have existing MySQL services requiring commercial support, features of MySQL Enterprise, or have existing staff that focus on MySQL administration.
