Overview
This document defines the service level agreement for UTForge.
Service description
UTForge is a Web interface designed to allow campus developers to store and share source code written in house. The UTForge interface includes features that allow campus developers to collaborate among colleges and departments, and that increase efficiencies in communication, development time and issue resolution.
Intended users
UTForge can be used by campus software developers.
Supported computing environment
The minimum recommended operating system and client software requirements are:
- Firefox 2.0+
- Internet Explorer 6.0+
- Safari 3.0+
UTForge Subversion repositories may be accessed via a standalone, desktop integrated or IDE plug-in client.
Technical support
Help is provided by e-mailing the UTForge Administrators at utforge-admin@utlists.utexas.edu. This is the only level of support available.
Maintenance
ITS will notify customers about both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using the ITS Services Status page of service availability and service delivery issues. Services may not be available during the maintenance periods.
Scheduled maintenance
OS patching occurs quarterly, the second Tuesday of the month from 8-9 a.m. Application maintenance occurs monthly, the fourth Thursday of the month from 8-9 a.m. To the maximum extent possible, installation of service, application, and security updates will be performed during scheduled maintenance.
Unscheduled maintenance
Unscheduled maintenance tasks that require service downtime will be announced as soon as possible on the ITS Services Status page.
Change notification
ITS will notify customers using the ITS Services Status page of service availability and service delivery issues for UTForge.
User responsibilities
Subscribers (users) of the service and identified owners/administrators agree to be aware of and adhere to the university's Acceptable Use Policy.
UTForge subscribers agree to:
- Be responsible for creating and managing their projects in the repository
- Manage any and all authorizations necessary for developers to view and update the data in their repository.
- Manage any permissions needed by others to manage the above authorizations for developers.
- Delete the project and repository when it is no longer needed.
