Problems Saving Files with SPSS 16.0.x
SPSS Technical Support has identified a problem with SPSS 16.0.x, where changes are made to an existing data file and the file appears to be saved, but the file is missing from the system.
Windows users can download a hotfix from SPSS at http://support.spss.com. Macintosh and Linux users should explicitly save files by selecting File, then choosing Save.
