The University of Texas at Austin
As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

uTexas Enterprise Directory (TED)

The uTexas Enterprise Directory (TED) is a private directory service that contains identity information about students, faculty, staff, and university associates. It contains confidential information and is not equivalent to the public "white pages" directory. TED is a repository of information consolidated for the internal use of university departments. Authorization to access confidential or restricted information contained in TED is controlled by the managers of the systems from which that information is derived. Note that TED is not the system of record for any student or employee information, and thus may not reflect the current, official status of a student or employee. It is a read-only repository, and no updates are permitted.

  • Provides a consolidated, LDAPv3-based interface for use by university employees and departments
  • Makes available identity and affiliation information of enterprise interest to a wide variety of systems and platforms
  • Allows departments to authenticate UT EID holders when logging into departmental systems
  • Permits departments to authorize access to systems or applications based on user attributes stored within TED

The uTexas Enterprise Directory is available at no cost to UT students, faculty, and staff.
