Mainframe Training IC 101 and IC 401
ITS offers two classes focused on teaching end users and departmental contacts to use the administrative computing system (mainframe).
Mainframe Training - IC 101
This class is intended for users who are new to the mainframe. Class topics include the EID system, employee Web services, and accessing the mainframe. This session also introduces the DEFINE application and basic system terminology.
Course Objectives
To introduce users to the EID system, employee Web services, and the mainframe.
Course Audience
UT Austin and UT System employees with a mainframe account.

Course Material
Mainframe Training - IC 401
Department contacts are designated as a "security administrator." Responsibilities as a Department Contact include adding, deleting and changing User IDs, updating User ID information, providing initial passwords for EIDs, resetting EID passwords, and updating information for your department’s profile.
Course Objectives
To train department contacts on the various aspects and duties of managing mainframe user accounts and department profiles.
Course Audience
UT Austin and UT System employees with a mainframe account and an active departmental contact designation in DPUSER.
