Overview
Basic e-mail (UMBS) provides current UT Austin students, faculty and staff with a university affiliated e-mail address. Use Webmail to check your e-mail from any Web browser. Your basic e-mail account remains active for as long as you are affiliated with the university. When you leave the university, your e-mail account remains active for an additional six months. Retirees may keep their basic e-mail accounts after retiring from the university.

Cost
Basic e-mail service is available at no cost to current UT Austin students, faculty, and staff.
