Overview
Usenet is a world-wide electronic forum for news, information, and communication in which people read and post messages on a wide variety of topics. Topics are broken down into newsgroups, allowing you to subscribe to as many or as few newsgroups as you like.
Important: On August 21, 2008, ITS will retire the Usenet server newshost.cc.utexas.edu from service. As part of this retirement, ITS will no longer provide Usenet newsreading and posting services.
