The University of Texas at Austin
As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

The UT System Video Network serves the fifteen UT System peer institutions with interactive videoconferencing capabilities. Both point-to-point (for two parties at two different sites) and multipoint (for multiple parties at multiple sites) videoconferences are available. Departments, faculty, and staff can host or participate in videoconferences for distance education, meetings, presentations, lectures, research, or supplemental educational, informational or administrative programming. Some departments allow students to schedule videoconferences for research, educational, or career opportunities.

  • Videoconferencing facilities are available across campus.
  • Schedule videoconferences among U.T. component campuses and to sites across Texas, the U.S., and the world.
  • Students can schedule videoconferences for research, educational, or career opportunities.
  • Instead of traveling to a meeting, lecture, or presentation, you can attend by videoconference. You'll save between 0.6 and 1 pound of carbon emissions for each mile you would have traveled.

The network connection required for videoconferencing on the statewide UT System Video Network is available at no cost to UT students, faculty, and staff. Departments that own the videoconferencing rooms may charge a facility fee. Outbound, dial-out ISDN connections are $50 plus line charges (there are no charges for a dial-in ISDN connection).
