Using the Calendar in Webmail

Webmail includes a calendar application that you can use to schedule appointments and meetings, which are called events in the Webmail calendar.

To access the calendar application, click the Calendar icon at the top of the main Webmail page, or expand the Organizing icon in the left sidebar and click the Calendar icon. The default view is a calendar month. Use the tabs at the top of the calendar view to change the display to a calendar day, workweek, week, or year.

From any calendar page, click the My Calendar icon to edit your calendar permissions. You can specify user and guest access to view, read, and edit your calendar.

Creating an Event

  1. From one of the tabbed calendar views, click the plus-sign icon next to the date or time when you want to schedule the event. The Add Event page appears.
  2. Enter the details of the event, such as date, times, and description.
  3. If you want to add attendees, click the Edit Attendees button. You can add contacts from your Address Book, or manually enter e-mail addresses for invitees. Check the Send updates/invitations to all attendees when saving this event checkbox if you want the invitees to receive e-mail invitations to the event.
  4. Click the Save Event button to save the scheduled appointment or meeting and return to the calendar month view. The new event displays in the scheduled date on the calendar month page.
  5. Using Categories

You can use categories to organize your events into different types, such as vacation, personal, or associated with a specific project. You can color-code each category so they display differently in the monthly calendar view.

From the Month tab of the Calendar page, click the color-square icon underneath the calendar to display the Categories and Labels page of the Global Options section of Webmail. Click the New Category button and enter the category name, then select the color to use for the category. You also can create a new category from the Add Event page.
