Using Keyboard Shortcuts

You can use keyboard shortcuts in Webmail instead of clicking links or icons. Keyboard shortcuts are useful if you do most of your work on a keyboard or want to avoid excessive mouse use.

For most links and icons on a Webmail page, the keyboard shortcut is "Accesskey" plus the underlined letter in the link. "Accesskey" refers to the Alt key on Windows, the Control key on a Macintosh, and the Alt key on Linux. On Windows, if the underlined letters are capitals, you must press the Shift key at the same time as the Accesskey and the underlined letter.

You can also move the mouse cursor over an icon to learn the keyboard shortcut for that icon command.

A specific keyboard shortcut might perform different tasks in different areas of Webmail. For example, from the Horde Portal page, "Accesskey-L" will log you out of Webmail, but from the Mail page, the same command will highlight the folder selection pulldown.

You can use the left and right arrow keys, without the Accesskey, to perform Previous and Next functions in Webmail.
