Troubleshooting
This section contains solutions for the following problems:
- You received an Error Code 67: "There was an error sending your message: sendmail returned error code 67."
- You received an Error message: "COPY failed - no write permission or out of disk space." ERROR message.
- You renamed your saved-mail folder when prompted and it doesn't appear in your folders list.
- You can't see folders you know you have created.
- You receive a Secure Connection Error or a Security Certificate Error when accessing the Webmail site.
Why did I receive Error Code 67: "There was an error sending your message: sendmail returned error code 67." when I sent an e-mail?
You must make sure you have entered a valid e-mail address in the proper format (name@domain.com). This error reflects an "addressee unknown" problem, indicating that Webmail cannot recognize the e-mail address of one of your recipients.
You receive a "COPY failed - no write permission or out of disk space." ERROR message.
You may have used up nearly all of your allowed disk space on the server (quota). This message can occur if a specific Webmail option is set to delete messages to a folder and you try to delete a message or a message with a large attachment.
Each time you delete a message to the Trash folder, a temporary copy of that message is created. If you have used up nearly all of your allowed disk space on the server (quota), Webmail is unable to make a copy, and this message appears. If you think you have enough space, check the size of the message. It may have large attachments.
To delete the problematic message:
- From the top of any Mail page, click the Options icon to display the Mail Options page.
- Click Deleting and Moving Mail Messages under the Message Options column.
- Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled When deleting messages, move them to your Trash folder instead of marking them as deleted.
- Click Save Options to return to the Mail Options page.
- Click the Folders icon at the top of the page.
- Click the name of the folder that contains the message you want to delete, to display a list of messages in that folder.
- Place a checkmark in the checkbox to the left of the message to delete.
- Click the Delete link to mark the message as deleted.
- Click the Purge Deleted link on the right side of the page.
You renamed your saved-mail folder when prompted and it doesn't appear in your folders list.
At the start of each month, when you log into each account, Webmail prompts you to rename your saved-mail folder as follows:
<folder name>-<month>-<year>
For example: sentmail-apr-03
If you have not set up a folder for saved mail in that account, the program attempts to rename the folder. However, this action is unsuccessful because the folder does not exist. To avoid this problem, specify a folder for saved mail under each mail identity in the Options screen.
You can't see folders you know you have created.
To see folders, you may need to subscribe to those folders from within Webmail. Webmail includes a folder subscription option that affects how you view folders in Webmail. This option does not affect your actual IMAP account, however, so subscriptions have no effect on how folders display in other mail applications.
You receive a Secure Connection Error or a Security Certificate Error when accessing the Webmail site.
Upon accessing the Webmail site, you may receive an error message indicating a Secure Connection Failure or a Security Certificate Error (in Firefox, you will receive the error code: sec_error_expired_certificate). This is due to a problem with the system date on your computer. The security certificate issued to Webmail is valid only within a certain time frame and your system date falls outside of that time range. Correct the date and time on your machine and you will regain access to Webmail.
