Overview
ITS has several Microsoft Certified System Engineers (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs) on staff who consult on Windows servers, services, and security, Active Directory, Storage Area Network (SAN) design, and more.

- Installing and configuring Windows servers (specializing in server security)
- Providing setup and access to the Austin Active Directory
- VPN server and Microsoft SQL server design, implementation, and maintenance
- Storage Area Network (SAN) design, configuration, and maintenance
- WINS and DNS design and implementation
- RealAudio/Video and Microsoft media server setup and maintenance
- Third party software setup, including virus checkers, backup software, security, and firewalls
- Migrating to any ITS-provided service
Cost
An initial 30 minute consultation is available at no cost to UT faculty and staff. Further consultations, including on-site consulting and long term contracts, are available for $95 per hour.
