Overview
The ColdFusion server, which is the basis for the Windows Web Publishing service, has been undergoing performance issues that require ITS to reboot the server periodically. Users are regularly experiencing problems connecting to sites on http://web.austin.utexas.edu, and processes may hang. ITS is working to resolve these problems, but it will take some time to work through all the issues at a system level.
If you notice issues with connections or response times of ColdFusion Web sites, please report problems directly to the ITS Help Desk (512-475-9400) so that the problem can be resolved.
The Windows Web Publishing service provides Windows-based (IIS) shared Web hosting services to departments, faculty, and other UT organizations.
