In a debate that could help shape the final days before a pivotal set of Democratic primaries, Hillary Rodham Clinton fought to reverse Barack Obama’s wave of momentum that threatens to swamp her once-dominant presidential campaign. The former first lady and New York senator on Thursday challenged Obama on his ability to effect change and his readiness for the White House. She was pointed when she charged him with plagiarism, a point her campaign has pressed in recent days. The debate, hosted by CNN, Univision and the University of Texas, was the first of two faceoffs before contests in Ohio and Texas on March 4 that could bring the hard-fought Democratic nomination battle to a conclusion.
