    “World”

It marks the passage of time. Serenades us. Offers up its halls for study. And though it stands 307 feet tall it can be seen around the world. The University of Texas at Austin. What starts here changes the world.

    “Stand”

It stands for higher learning. Opportunity. Discovery. Pride. Or to put it another way, The University of Texas at Austin. What starts here changes the world.

    “One”

How do you go about changing the world? You start with one molecule. One word. One brush stroke. One purpose. The University of Texas at Austin. What starts here changes the world.

    “Three words”

Across the globe, in places far and wide, we speak a language that unites, inspires and defines us. All with only three words: “Hook ‘em, Horns!” The University of Texas at Austin. What starts here changes the world.

Not very good. How about a voice--over from Bill Moyer. The Women can sing, however.........

While I love the sight of the Tower lit with the "1," the overall theme is too arrogant. Texans are accused around the country as braggarts. It's like celebrating in the end zone. I loved the way Earl used to react after a touchdown, calmly handing the ball to the ref. Those that have it, don't need to brag about it. This ad campaign will only fuel the negative impressions of Texans as too boastful.

I prefer Walter Cronkit. More distinguished sounding.

It is almost impossible to come up with ads as good as the ones Walter Cronkite did. I just hope they still use the "Get your Horns Up" Cronkite one during football games.

Really hope they still use the Conkite ones during the football games as well!

No, it's not Walter Cronkite. Yes, to some it may seem ego-driven, but I still got chills when I heard it! Texas Proud.

Cool, but yes, Cronkite better play at the games.

The voice does not resonate like the previous adds with Walter Cronkite. The “What Starts Here Changes the World” is too weak and low key. You need a voice that is commanding with these spots.

I fear sexism still exists if Chris believes "the voice" does not resonate. Ms. Conrad's voice is perfect. Her pitch and timing mirror Cronkite's.
