  • Tower shines orange tonight

    The Tower at The University of Texas at Austin will shine orange the evening of Friday, Dec. 2 in recognition of Professor William Lewis, who will be appointed to the rank of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (the Order of Arts and Letters), France’s prestigious order created by Charles de Gaulle in the 1950s.

    Lewis is Frank C. Erwin Centennial Professor in Opera and professor of voice at the Butler School of Music in the College of Fine Arts.
