    Documenting the rich and famous

    Published: Dec. 19, 2011

The Dolph Briscoe Center for American History recently acquired as a gift the professional and personal papers of Dominick Dunne, the acclaimed journalist and writer. Before his death in August 2009, Dunne directed that his papers should eventually be placed in the Briscoe Center’s News Media History collection, one of the most comprehensive journalism history archives in existence.

The Dominick Dunne papers span the entirety of his life and include manuscript and article drafts, correspondence, trial research, photographs, personal papers and journals. An exhibit of selections from the Dunne papers will open at the Briscoe Center in April 2012.

Brad O'Brien MAJ US Army said on Jan. 12 at 3:51 p.m.
A fascinating man. He played a pivotal role in solving the murder of Martha Moxley. She was found bludgeoned in between her house and her neighbors. The main suspect in the case was Michael Skakel sone of Rushton Skakel. Ethel Skakel Kennedy was Rushton's sister and she of course was the widow of RFK. Greenwich Conn at the time of the murder had no actual police force. Instead they had a glorified security guard. After the murder these police went to the Skakel home and asked to come in and search. They were denied access. "Murder in Greenwich" was the book Dunne wrote about that killing. He collaborated with Detective Mark Fuhrman formerly of the LAPD.
