A collaboration between neurobiology professors Mike Mauk and Dan Johnston at UT’s Center for Learning and Memory is helping uncover the neural basis for how working memory or “scratchpad” memory functions, with ramifications for a wide range of conditions including Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia, ADHD, and Parkinson’s.
