This is such a fine achievement. My father and my grandfather were organ builders. My grandfather was associated with Cassavante and A-S and my father designed and built instruments on his own. He also repaired and cleaned them in much the way that is shown here. One of my jobs as a youngster was going with him and holding down keys when he asked me. This restoration would have made him so happy. I cannot wait to see it.
January 28, 2013 As a Construction Planner with the University of Texas at Austin, I assisted Ricardo Puemape in getting the organ up and running. There was a lot of work to do by the Construction Services Shops in preparation for the installation of the organ. All of the craftsmen that worked on this project deserve a lot of credit for their efforts. I am proud to have been part of the team that made this project possible. It was a beautiful concert on December 14, 2012 and I wanted to say thanks to everyone that made this beautiful organ possible.
