The University of Texas at Austin is one of the largest public institutions in the nation, and here in Austin, residents try to keep it weird. Combining the university’s intellectual capital and the eclectic vibe of the city, it’s no surprise Austin ranks among the top places in the nation to live and do business.

I must add that Austin is a must destination for those who choose to spend their vacation in US. The city is amazing, and if you happen to get there in time for South by Southwest (SXSW) festival you'll see how colorful that city can be. Media moguls, reporters, artists, celebrities, agents, record execs, distributors share the same space. Everyone that is and will ever be has probably played at this festival.
I have not been to Austin yet, but it seems like a great place to live. To the above the article says keeping Austin weird. It is being praised for being a good city. Texas is a state with no income tax, so it would make sense that the anti-tax crowd would have praise for the city.
