I completely agree that broadband is essential for rural communities. Rural areas in England and Scotland have been allocated nearly £363m by the government to improve their broadband connections. However 4G LTE wireless services which would bring high speed access to rural communities is not due to roll out until 2013. This will be a big disadvantage for the whole country.
Excellent article, Dr. Strover, great work on rural broadband. All the more reason why no federal cuts should be imposed on the USDA's (Rural Utilities Service) designated funds for rural broadband.
