Four years ago, during my second year of doctoral study, I had the fabulous fortune to take an archival research methods course from Professor Jones. She encouraged and supported my work enthusiastically--even helped me find funding to take a trip to Chicago to do some research for my class paper! Importantly, she taught me how to dig deeply into a topic, to "read" the nuances. That class paper sowed the seeds of my dissertation, which I will defend in spring 2015. Thank you, Professor Jones!

Professor Jones sounds like a wonderful teacher. She has the gift of making history alive & personal. We need more teachers like her.
