Hi, Noel--I'm the photo archivist at the Briscoe. I'd need to confirm this with the statue's artists, Jeffrey and Anna-Koh Varilla, but I believe that this is the photograph they used: http://www.cah.utexas.edu/db/dmr/image_lg.php?variable=e_fs_2143_IMG0008. In addition, one of panels on the statue's pedestal features a Schulke image of Coretta Scott King at her husband's funeral: http://www.cah.utexas.edu/db/dmr/image_lg.php?variable=e_fs_3597_IMG0032.

Susan, Great catch! The story has been corrected to reflect that the Martin Luther King Jr. statue is on the East Mall. — Samantha Youngblood, University Communications
