Nearly 20 years ago, Dr. Sandy Briley, founder and director of the Child Development Center, helped make on-campus child care a reality. Sandy's commitment to the UT's Children (and their parents!) has been tremendous. Her good humor, calm nature, connection with all humans under the age of 5, and her sincere dedication to the advancement of early childhood educaiton has made her one of UT's bright stars. We feel lucky to know her and to have had the chance for our children to grow under her leadership.

What a fantastic tribute to a visionary in Austin childcare! I am so grateful for the innovative and nurturing learning environment Dr. Briley has created at the UT Child Development Center. Her talent is reflected in the quality of the teachers and staff, the curriculum, the parental involvement and - most important - the children who are happy, curious, well-nourished and excited to be there. Having experienced two other programs before getting my boys into the UTCDC, I can attest to the peace of mind UT parents have entrusting their children to Dr. Briley and her team.
