      That same year, the "Don't Mess with Texas" antilitter campaign hit the state, and the Lady Longhorns quickly adopted the slogan. Their pictures in the programs had team members wearing "Don't Mess with Texas" T-shirts, and a couple of times during the season, there were "Don't Mess with Texas" game nights. Two wonderfully successful programs in one year for Texas. What a time it was!
