Dr. George Nelson, former NASA astronaut and 2009 inductee in the Astronaut Hall of Fame, flew three shuttle missions, including the first to fly after the Challenger disaster, and was the first person to do an EVA untethered. Dr. Nelson is a Ph.D. astrophysicist and has done research at some of the leading telescopes around the world. He will talk about his experience going into space and about the future direction of the manned space program.
