Description:
Community march, festival honor legacy of Dr. King
The 17th annual Community March celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy kicks off at the MLK statue on The University of Texas at Austin campus.

Innervisions Gospel Choir will sing, and UT administrators, student leaders, state legislators and community leaders will speak. The march will end at Huston-Tillotson University, to be immediately followed by the MLK Community Festival featuring a variety of vendors and local musical acts.

Important note: The march will not pass by State Capitol grounds, which will be closed on MLK Day due to preparations for the gubernatorial inauguration the following day.
