| Description: | Buzz Bissinger won the Pulitzer Prize for investigative journalism and is author of the best-selling book "Friday Night Lights" (which inspired the movie and TV series). He is also author of the highly acclaimed "Prayer for the City," about Philadelphia politics in the 1990s, and "Three Nights in August," which examines baseball through the perspective of Cardinals manager Tony La Russa. In addition to his reporting work for some of the nation's most prestigious newspapers and magazines, Bissinger was co-producer and writer for the ABC television drama "NYPD Blue." He is recently co-author, with LeBron James, of "Shooting Stars," a memoir of James' childhood experiences with basketball. |
