Description:Carol Fabian, M.D., a cancer prevention and survivorship research program leader at the University of Kansas Cancer Center, will present a talk titled "Translational Dietary and Chemopreventive Approaches for Breast Cancer Prevention."
Fabian, a board-certified medical oncologist, is the Kansas Masonic Research endowed chair and is an internationally recognized leader in risk assessment and prevention trials for breast cancer. She is the principal investigator for a number of ongoing prevention trials in breast cancer: letrozole for postmenopausal women taking hormone replacement therapy; a diet and exercise trial for postmenopausal overweight women; and a flaxseed derivative trial for premenopausal women.
