Description:Professor Michael Taussig of Columbia University presents "When the Sun Goes Down: A Post Copernican Turn of Remembrance." Taussig describes his talk as "a meditation - or rather a putting into practice - of Walter Benjamin's notion of the dialectical image and the dialectic at a standstill from the viewpoint of mood and weather, in relation to sleep and awakening, from a pre-Copernican point of view." A light lunch will be served.
