Description:"Babam ve Oglum" (My Father and My Son, dir. Cagan Irmak, 2005) tells the story of Sadik, a left-wing journalist who defies his father's wishes that he run the family farm. Jailed and widowed after the 1980 coup, a humbled Sadik returns to his village with his son Deniz to try to rebuild his relationship with his father, Huseyin. For Deniz, meeting his father's family is an adventure - from tractor-driving Grandma to bedazzling Aunt Hanife. In Turkish with English subtitles.
