Description:Join Best Buddies UT in a "Friendship Walk" around the Main Mall to celebrate the strong friendships forged through Best Buddies programs and to discourage the use of negative language in referring to people with intellectual disabilities. This fun-filled event will includes an opening ceremony at 9 a.m., the Friendship Walk at 9:30, followed by speakers, festivities, food and awards. Best Buddies encourages students and members of the Austin community to register for this event in order to raise money for Best Buddies Texas. Participants who raise $25 receive an event t-shirt.
