| Description: | Students, faculty and staff are invited a talk by Dr. Martha Newman, who offers a critical examination of religious civility in the university setting. Newman enlightens and challenges attendees to examine the relationship of their individual views on religion to the shared learning environment. Dinner will be served.
Newman is chair of the Department of Religious Studies and an associate
professor of medieval history at The University of Texas at Austin. For the last five years, she has taught a course titled "Judaism, Christianity, Islam: An Introduction." She will reflect on what she has learned while teaching the class. |
