 April 1, 2011
| Time: | 6-9 p.m. |
| Description: | The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center sponsors a night of learning about wildflowers and the pollinators they attract. Children will learn about the role insects and other creatures play in pollinating wildflowers during hikes led by staff conservationist Flo Oxley and University of Texas at Austin entomologist Mike Quinn. Young participants can make lollipop flowers and other crafts, and use a sponge and straw to collect "nectar" just like real pollinators. For more information, call 512-232-0100, or go visit us on the Web.
A May 6 Nature Night will focus on butterflies and moths. |
