Description:The Professional Development Center offers a Paralegal Certificate Program. The course meets Tuesdays and Thursdays through Dec. 15.

The paralegal profession is one of the fastest growing occupational opportunities in the nation. There has never been a better time to enter this exciting field. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of paralegals and legal assistants is projected to grow 28 percent between 2008 and 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations. More employers are hiring paralegals to perform tasks once done by lawyers in order to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Paralegals perform a wide variety of duties, making them more useful to businesses.
