Description:The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Jerry Junkin, presents a concert of works by J.S Bach, Michael Gandolfi, William Bolcom and UT professor of composition Donald Grantham.

The University of Texas Wind Ensemble has firmly established itself as one of America's elite wind bands. The group has commissioned new works by composers such as John Corigliano, Michael Daugherty, Donald Grantham, David Maslanka and Dan Welcher. The ensemble made its debut at Carnegie Hall in February 1998, and has played some of the world's most prestigious concert halls and festivals. They have released critically acclaimed commercial recordings on the Reference, Klavier and Naxos Labels.
