Description:
CMAS talk features work by Chicana playwright
Virginia Grise reads from her award-winning play "blu" in this CMAS PláticArte.

Winner of the Yale Drama Series Award, "blu" follows a queer Chicana/o family as they love and war while police helicopters circle their starlit rooftop dreams.

Grise is a multi-disciplinary artist who pushes against the boundaries of traditional theater and live performance. She was awarded the Princess Grace Award in theater directing and her published work includes "The Panza Monologues" (forthcoming), an edited volume of Zapatista communiqués titled "Conversations with Don Durito" and "blu."
