Artist Anna Krachey presents her work, followed by a Q&A.
This edition of Art in Practice is presented in conjunction with the course
Performing Critique" (ART 382), taught by Risa Puleo, assistant curator of contemporary art at the Blanton Museum of Art, and takes as its premise the idea that art is a conversation.
Krachey lives and works in Austin, TX. Her work has been featured in Perspectives 168 at the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston (2009), 15 to Watch at Austin Museum of Art (2011) and most recently in "Always the Young Strangers" at Higher Pictures in New York.
Art in Practice provides guidance and insight into the professional world to students preparing for careers in the arts. Varying topics of conversation range from a nuts-and-bolts approach to gaining valuable job skills to broad issues relevant to creative culture as a whole.
