Description:Senegal-based artist Muhsana Ali gives a lecture titled "Purging Memories of the Atlantic and Transcultural Challenges," focusing on her sustainability work with the Mart Community Project in Mart, Texas.

Ali speaks about her art and film-making practice. She will be participating in the National Endowment for the Arts' Your Town Rural Citizenship Design Workshop, Nov. 3-5, which will bring together a team of nationally recognized community change and design experts to help Mart create a strategic plan for future sustainable development.
