| Description: | The Texas Politics Speaker Series presents a conversation with State Senator Wendy Davis. Dr. James Henson, director of the Texas Politics Project, talks with Davis (D-Fort Worth) about her career, recent redistricting challenges, her role in the last legislative session and the future of the Democratic Party. A Q&A with the audience follows.
The Texas Politics Speaker Series brings to the university campus people from across the political spectrum and from all levels of government to discuss compelling political and policy issues. Speakers and topics are selected to engage students and the public, while providing insight into how the political process works in Texas. All events are recorded, and attendance implies consent to be included in recordings. |
