| Description: | The Food Studies Project presents "Food: A Political Statement," featuring free lunch and a short clip of Michael Pollan on why we should not buy any food seen advertised on television. The OXFAM Texas organization is highlighted at this meeting. Old-fashioned chicken and dumplings served.
Educated Eater is a bi-weekly social lunch for UT students, featuring free food. Come talk food, eat food and learn food. The program aims to connect students to food-related student organizations.
There are six Educated Eater social lunches scheduled for spring 2012 with topics such as culture, politics, health, environment, economics and technology. |
