Description:Serving Texas Through Health Disparities Research is a day-long conference on health promotion and disease prevention research in underserved populations. David Lakey, M.D., commissioner of the Texas Department of State Health Services, presents the keynote address, "Health Priorities for Texas."

The conference will feature podium presentations by six individuals renowned for their work in the areas of public health, research-based interventions and health disparities. The event also includes a poster presentation session featuring research addressing a wide array of health promotion topics.
