Stacy I. Macias, a Carlos E. Castañeda postdoctoral fellow in Mexican American studies for the 2011-2012 academic year, discusses her current research in a plática titled "Assembling Ensembles: The Cultural Politics of Disposability and Desire in Latina Fashion Lines."

Macias holds a Ph.D. in women's studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
