Description:The School of Social Work hosts a public symposium to celebrate the publication of "Community Lost: The State, Civil Society, and Displaced Survivors of Hurricane Katrina," by Ronald J. Angel, Holly Bell, Julie Beausoleil and Laura Lein. Seating is limited. RSVP to ssw-profdev@utlists.utexas.edu.

This interdisciplinary team of UT researchers, funded by the National Science Foundation, participated in the recovery efforts and documented the struggles of survivors and the efforts of the Austin community.
