The disABILITY Advocate Foundation Program is designed to help faculty, staff and students at The University of Texas at Austin develop knowledge and advocacy skills to promote inclusion and access for people with disability.
The engaging two-hour training provides a foundation in disability awareness and allows for interaction and discussion among participants. Topics include disability-related language, how to recognize and reduce barriers for people with disabilities, the perspective of disability as an aspect of diversity and how to make a positive difference on campus for people with disabilities.
