Description:Writer and journalist Michael Erard presents "Myths and Realities of High Intensity Language Learners."

A University of Texas at Austin alumnus (M.A. in linguistics, Ph.D. in English) Erard is the author of two books that bring linguistic research to a popular audience. They are: "Um???: Slips, Stumbles, and Verbal Blunders, and What They Mean" and "Babel No More: The Search for the World's Most Extraordinary Language Learners."
