Description:Jews don't have a monopoly on humor, but how does one account for the incontrovertible cultural phenomenon of "Old Jews Telling Jokes"? Humor played an important role in Yiddish-speaking Jewish life, and the joke was a central vehicle of that humor. Dr. Jordan Finkin addresses these issues, examining what's so Jewish about Jewish humor through the lens of the joke.
