Bilingualism in the foreign language classroom examined
In a presentation titled "Bilingualism and Biculturalism in the Foreign Language Classroom," three Spanish heritage language teachers and researchers discuss classroom activities that ask students to question, defend and in some instances reassess, their assumptions about "what sounds right" in their language. The tasks specifically focus on Spanish vocabulary, culture and word order.
