Description:
The Story of LingQ is recounted by system's creator
Learn about LingQ (pronounced "link") from creator Steve Kaufmann, a former forest products executive who says he "got in over his head" in a 10-year project to create the LingQ online language learning system.

Kaufman describes his initial inspiration and ongoing challenges. Much like language learning itself, building an online learning community requires perseverance, commitment and a willingness to accept risk and uncertainty.
